Today, I want to let you in on a little known secret.  A secret to help boost the effectiveness of your business.  A secret to make you more accessible for your customers while also connecting you to them a little more.

Ok, are you ready for this?  The secret is … The Web.

What?! Oh, its not a secret?  Well maybe the secret isn’t so much in the fact that jumping on the web can/will help, maybe its the proper use of the web which is such a “secret.”  That’s where Lost Dog Design comes in. We want to help you figure that secret out.

In the previous blog (Growth through Networking: Part 1) I spoke about how we utilized the Chambers’ resources, began to build key relationships and learned how to put ourselves “out there”. We learned that every connection is important. Take advantage of your client’s events, network events and meet for coffee with new contacts. From these situations arise new possibilities. You are getting your name out there and making an impression in the minds of these new connections.

Tips we learned and would like to share with you:

1. If you go with a partner or colleague, make sure to split up. Sitting at separate tables will help you increase the numbers of your new relationships.

2. It feels safe when you are starting out to approach people you know. Utilize this situation by having them introduce you to new people.

3. Lastly, don’t be afraid to walk up and introduce yourself. That is what everyone is there to do!
